The mobile app

The VOY app is where you start, track, and end runs. It reads your phone's GPS and connects to your Garmin heart rate so everything streams live.

Coming soon to iOS & Android.

Open the app and sign in with the same email and password (or Google account) you use on the web. Your runs, history, and connections stay in sync across both.

Pair GPS & heart rate#

  1. 1

    Allow location

Grant the app permission to use your location while using the app — ideally “Always” or “Precise” so tracking continues when your screen is off. GPS provides your route, pace, distance, and elevation.

  2. 2

    Connect your heart rate

Pair a Garmin (or other compatible) heart-rate source so VOY can broadcast your live heart rate and zones. If no monitor is connected, your run still streams with GPS-based metrics — heart rate simply won't appear.

  3. 3

    Keep the app running

Leave VOY running during your run. On most phones you can lock the screen and it keeps streaming in the background.

Battery tips

Live GPS + streaming uses more battery than a normal tracking app. Start with a decent charge for long runs, and disable low-power mode, which can throttle background location on some phones.

What the app streams#

Every few seconds while you run, VOY sends:

  • Your GPS position, drawn as a live route on the map
  • Pace and distance (or speed, for rides)
  • Heart rate and heart-rate zone, when a monitor is connected
  • Elevation and elevation gain

Viewers see all of this update in real time. Nothing is shared until you start a run, and it stops the moment you end one.
